Floor pans shot!!

OK, I know this is not y-block stuff, but I am not getting help anywhere else. I have a 59 Fairlane with a 292 and need a complete set of floor pans. If someone could steer me in the right direction I would be very grateful.
Thanks,Ray.

Hi Ray!!!,...this is Janet. There are two ways to go with floor pan replacements, one way is to go to a welding shop and have sheetmetal welded in. the other method is many sites that offer floor pan replacements. In any event, being that the 59 fairlane has a frame to support the pans, it can be fixed. I would seek a local welder, that has accesss to sheetmetal...Good Luck....Janet

Ray, it's Janet again, i did find a site that sells 18 gauge flor pans, for your year 59 car, but it is for a pickup, but you could probably email or call them and have them refer you to someone that has what you need. the site is

http://www.classicfabrication.com/

i was surprised at their price as well, only 60.00 a floor pan, being that they only carry that 59 ford truck year, people in this business would be well able to know someone who would have them...BTW,.. i love the old 59 fairlanes, so good luck with her...Good Luck....Janet

I will be more than happy to help you with anything i can, i too have went to extremes you wouldn't amagine when i restored and completely a 59 Cadillac flat top, oh it was work, but oh is my pet pretty. But i have to say, its that sound from the dual on my 56 ford fairlane with the 292 with dual exhaust that makes me feel like i did in those simple younger days of mine. Do rebuild that car, the 59 is a good choice. Floor pans are no biggy, if it were me, i would just have sheetmetal welded in, it only matters to have proper replacement floor pans when you get into that show car area with judges....Janet

Thanks, Janet. I will definetly be needing help with this project. It is my first this extensive. My 68 F250 is coming along, it needs some minor body work and then it will be ready for painting to finish it. Please e-mail with any resources that you may have for parts or anything related to the 59 restoration project I may be able to use. I will share pictures with you at that time.
Thanks, Ray.

I wanted to add this thought, i like what you're doing and especially the car you sought to restore. Your patience will make you one proud owner, and yes i will honestly help u with anything, i truly mean it dear. I may be a woman, but i was raised in my father wrecking salvage yard, and i know the tricks and what works, and love to share it with anyone truly confident and and to have that eccentric, Ill have a car what i want, and not what everybody else thinks i need.....Janet

Janet, Thanks again. I have been searching and found a few resources. Don't worry about your speach patterns with me, it's not a distraction as long as the advice is sound. That is what this forum is all about right?
Ray.

Try Classic Fabrication, they are in South Carlina (843) 650 0385. The did a great job on my 1960 F100 floor pans, they fit perfect.
