I hope they don't make the bed rails taller like they did on the F150. A lot of people already have clearance problems with fifth wheel trailers.

What is the picture from the link above showing on the dash with "aux" buttons and a LCD display with "gain" on it? I think this is the link to the picture.

If it is beneficial, I know it fits where the 2004 'hole for my gum in my truck' is, but I wonder if it could be put in a 2004 or earlier?

Here is what the Gain display is about:
The TowCommand System, which includes the industry’s first factory-installed and warranted electronic trailer brake controller, offers smoother operation and safety features.
This includes a special trailer brake strategy when the truck’s anti-lock braking system detects poor traction. No aftermarket trailer brake controller can do this. The electronic trailer brake controller is integrated into the instrument panel, with graphics that match the rest of the Super Duty interior. It gives audible and visual warnings if trailer wiring becomes disconnected.

The 4 switches are part of the upfitter package. They're just switches made available for additional aftermarket equipment. The LCD display next to it is the optional brake controller. I like that "secondary" glove box underneath. Not available on 6-speeds though.
