Stop Dinging

Look down at the base of the belt clip and there is a white connector. Just unplug that on both seats and dinging stops

I always wear seat belts while traveling down the road, but never while moving my truck in a parking lot. I went to a job interview just the other day and had to stop at a guard shack to get directions where to go (in a huge parking lot). Got back in the truck and started moving, and while trying to find my way around the stupid seat belt minder starts going off like mad. I just wish we could still depress the "red button" on the latch and stop the dinging. I have friends that refuse to wear seat belts for various reasons, so I don't want to de-activate the system, its sort of like my good deed to MAKE them wear seat belts while riding with me!

While speaking of disableing stuff... .how do I get the interior light not to stay lit for sooooo long....I got the headlights to turn off quicker but I want the interior to go off when I shut the door and walk away from the truck....
I don't need to be displaying what I have in the box and in the cab.... I don't like this feature.

if you unplug the seatbelt at the base, does anyone know if it affects the airbags?

I'm a faithful seat belt user, but not when driving from chore to chore on the farm at 10 mph. I successfully de activated the "belt minder" feature by following the 9 buckle-unbuckle cycle given in the owner's manual. However, that doesn't silence the anoying 6 dings you get when initially starting the engine without the belt fastened. I located the white plug at the floor, mentioned by unomasj, but the question about does disconnecting it affect the air bag deployment is a good one. No replies so far - does anyone know?
