I bought my 2003 Dark Shadow Grey Lightning last May and I am still impressed with the beast. My son got me started when he bought a 2003 Dark Shadow Grey Cobra convertable. I just turned 2400 miles on the truck in 10 months so I guess it is still not broken in yet.

Ahhhh... another Shadow Gray owner, good to meet ya. I ve had mine since about Oct of last year and treat it like my baby.

 

I really like the Dark Shadow Grey, it is a tight color. I have an 01 Silver L, and it is nice, but the Dark Shadow Grey is definatly an eye catcher.

 

I have noticed that most people don't realize that it is a Lightning until they get close enough to see the badges. Others just think it is a "standard" F150. My son bought a 2003 dark shadow grey Cobra convertable a couple of months before I bought the L. We now have "twin" vehicles. His is a little faster though!

That’s a sweet setup, up should post a pic of the two side by side in the garage. I would have to say that that would be just about the perfect garage. With a little tuning the L will keep up, if not pass the Cobra.
