Lightbulb gassed effie?

i saw a pic of a model on ebay that was of a gasser done 53 f100, this isnt the first time i thought about doing this, but i didnt think it would look right inless it was done positively right. what do you guys think? i always liked the retro old school builds and whether its nose is in the air or in the weeds it isnt going to be flashy. just wondering if this has been done. right? running boards or none, etc

55 forder, thats exactly how i also visioned my ford when i work on it. i was thinking black suede low, rappin pipes and some classic hubs or baby moons. i have a set of ford turbine rims on there now, but i want classic. not sure if crager or keystones will make it look too muscle era. i like the old 40s gassed look, but i know it has to be done right. seen it done on ****** and ford coup's and i like the nostalgia of it, not growing up then i am at kinda a disadvantage. i figure i was born 30 years too late...lol. listening to the stories of all the old timers i hang out with makes me even want to go back sometimes.

Dick C, you have got to bring the Gasser to the nostalgia meet at Thompson Drag Raceway this year! Way Cool!

If it was mine I would, Innercity was looking for ideas, I found that on the net.

If I wasn't keeping the Flatmotor in my Panel it would end up along those lines, Ya gotta love the 60's style Gassers

i always liked the rough n tough looking vehicles that let the mechanics do the talking through their drivetrain down to their tires. whether its a muscle car or a jalopy. not too rough like a pile, more like sweetness in a old wrapper ..lol.
