leather trim?

Hello all. New to the group, considering the new F150. Haven't owned a Ford truck since my 86 Bronco (which I loved).
Question on the leather trim. The web site was confusing. If you order the Lariat with Leather 40/40/20 bench seat, is the rear seat also leather or vinyl?
Thanks,
Greg

It's my understanding that the rear seat is vinyl of the supercab. You have to get the supercrew before you get leather back there. I believe they call it 'premium vinyl' in the back of the supercab.

Actually, I just read the brochure:
"When leather-trimmed front seat is ordered on supercab and/or FX4 supercrew, rear seat will be premium vinyl"

I re-checked the brochure and that is exactly what it says, I also went outside and checked my truck and unless Ford has come a long way with vinyl it appears to be leather. It is the exact texture, stitching, and feel as the front seats. If it's vinyl they should do the whole truck in it because I can't tell the difference.

I wish they'd do it like the old days...the entire seat leather, not just where your butt and back touch it.

The ordering guide also indicates that the FX4 SuperCrew would also be vinyl, even if leather is in front. Only the Lariat SuperCrew gets leather.

If the back seat in my Lariat is vinyl it is of an extaordinary level of quality. I wouldn't have believed it if you guys weren't quoting from the ordering guide

Take a look in the back of a new GMC or Chevy Silverado (extended cab) that has leather front seats. The vinyl back there is really cheap looking.

As far as I know... the back seek is a deluxe vinyl... in my case, it's fine... since our mini-Schnauzer will be the back seat occupent.

The bench in the back of my supercab FX4 is vinyl, i cannot tell the difference from looking at it, but it is what my dealer told me. Also mud cleans off very well the only drawback is the mini mats they put in the front which don't cover all the areas muddy boots can hit, so it is a pain to clean the dirt from the carpet.

I just traded a black/tan 2002 Lariat SuperCrew with the FX4 package. I replaced it with a 2004 silver/DSG FX4 SuperCrew. The 2002 had leather in the front and rear. The MSRP for the 2002 was $37,100.

This time around I selected the FX4 over the Lariat because I couldn't get the FX4 package on a Lariat and I didn't care for the faux wood trim. Personally I like the FX4 interior with the carbon fiber look over the Lariat. Even though the premium vinyl rear seat in the FX4 looks like leather, I feel cheated by FOMOCO. The MSRP for the 2004 FX4 was $39,950. For that price the rear seat should have been leather! By the way the rear seat in the 2004 is not as comfortable as the 2002. Other than that, there is no comparison between the 2002 and the 2004. GREAT TRUCK!!!
Shame on ford for vinyl rear seats!

for 2004 f150 purposes, the ford brochure says "(for XL, STX, XLT, FX4, Lariat): REAR 60/40 flip up split seat-Supercab and supercrew only, color/fabric matches the front seat (when leather trimmed front seat is ordered on supercab and/or fx4 supercrew, rear seat will be premium vinyl)" To me this says the lariat rear seats are leather only on the 2wd screw versions. any other versions with front seat leather are vinyl in the back seat area.
