Looking for shop to rent

My Godfather, my father and myself are looking for a shop so that we all can work on our stuff and not be in a storage yards and backyards.

My godfather and father both have 20 foot jet boats and i've got a 20 foot enlosed aztec (plus 4 foot for the hitch) with some kart racing stuff and landscape equipment. We would like to use it to work on our things and store them there.

Where's a good place to start looking and what should we be looking for?

First off I am going to get you to the right forum.

Other than that a roof over your head, reasonable security, a good floor, HVAC, lights, and 220 power for a compressor...

I was not only looking for advise from Arizona People, but also get some ideas from around the country on what there is out there.

Thank you for bringing the 220 from the back burners to the front of my mind.

What would you be willing to pay for something like that?

I have often thought of starting a business that does just what you are suggesting. I would open a "rent-a-shop" and lease space to people.

I don't know if it would be large enough for a boat though...just your typical "car" sized space. There is a building here in Mesa that a business fails in about every year or so. It has something like 20 stalls all in a row....tons of parking too....

Maybe I'll put together a business plan for the idea if (when) the current business resident fails and see what I would need to charge on a monthly basis.

How about a list of what a place like this would need to succeed?

Thanks!

JK

The idea has left our minds for the moment as things are a little on the expensive side for our pocket books (although, not necessarily unreasonably priced).

I still look around, but not as heavy as I was. If anyone finds anything, please send it my way.

Thanks
