Question 4.6, Cast Iron or Aluminum?

I am wondering if the 4.6 has aluminum heads, aluminum block or are they cast iron? Are the Lincoln Town Car 4.6 engines the same engine as used in the F series trucks?

The 4.6 has a cast iron block with aluminum heads, except for the 4.6 in the new Explorer which is all aluminum.
The 4.6 comes in Romeo and Windsor versions.
The Lincoln engine is essentially the same as the 4.6 Romeo.

that goes for all the 4.6 or certain years I have a 1998 4.6L and I'm trying to repair a cracked block my dad thinks it's aluminum but I told him Its cast iron and he doesn't believe me he's trying to jb weld it but I think we should use the welding with a nickel rod method or belzona but belzona is crazy expensive
