pinging

Good-Day Everyone!

I'm having a problem! My 2.9 liter is pinging under a load?Is this the fuel I'm using or is it timing?????

My guess would be that your 2.9 has some mileage on it & could stand more octane.
You could retard the timing just a little bit then test drive it to check for pinging and amount of power loss if any.
