2003 xlt ranger 3.0l six, ox white, ARE hardshell cover
99 XLT 3.0 with 16" tires, auto, and 4.10 gears. Avg mid 16-mid 17 with mixed driving. 84,500 miles. Has the 'off-road' package if that makes a difference, other than tire size.
I have a 94 Mazda B2300 5spd reg cab w/ 19lb injectors from a Taurus 3.0L and the stock MAF, stock electronics, Electric Fan, K&N cone on the maf and no intake resonator.....
I get between 19 and 23 MPG depending on my foot position and whether or not I use A/C
It would probably get better mileage if I had the stock injectors in, but it wouldn't be any fun to drive above 3500 RPM
ORIGIONALLY POSTED BY kymale21 -2001 XLT ext. cab 4.0L w/ tornado. I have 21,000 miles and get 24.0 mpg city, 27.0 mpg highway.
-Dude, how is this possible, i'd consider yousrelf lucky with the 4.0. I just got a whoppin 12.09 MPG my last fill. i have the 3.23's in it though, and i drive mostly in town, but still, when i went on a 300 mile road trip, i still only got like 18. Tell us your secrets
There are no secrets, though my father tried it out on his S-10 and only got 21.0 mpg, so i guess it varies on what type of engine, and how hard you drive it. Gas mileage before was 17.5 mpg city 19.0 highway w/4.0L and new cold air intake from K&N.
Please state engine size, 4x4, or 2x4, city, highway, or both, and how many miles you have.
Thanks Stampede
Recently bought 2000 xlt supercab 4X2,2.5L,4.10 rear end,5 speed M- tranny;275x70x15 tires, towing package and after getting used to the shifting ranges, found I am getting 20 mpg in back and forth to work and around town driving(mostly freeway stuff with stop and go here in CA); truck does seem to sit high compared to other rangers(haven't figured out why since it's not a 4x4) but really thought I would get better mileage. Any suggestions?
