My transmission on occasion shifts/acts different. 2 or 3 times from second shifting to third it has revved like it was slipping or like paused for a moment. another wierd one, It seems that if i let it idle in park when i stop somewhere, 5 to 10 minutes, when i get in and shift to reverse, it seems to drop rpm's and gets louder. I brought it to the local transmission place, they drove it and put it on the computer, they did'nt find anything, but said the engine was throwing a code. They did'nt know what the code meant. So my question.....are these symptoms of trouble? what do auto transmissions do when they're going out? I plan on buying a scan tool so i won't put it in the shop just yet.
