Post 99 F250 CC V-10 Electrical Problems

I have been having a couple of electrical problems lately on by 99 F250 CC V-10 with 48,000 miles. I have recently replaced one relay for the door ajar light. Sometimes I would be driving and the door ajar light would come on, then click off, then come on again. This would also make the dome light click on and off. Since I replaced it, I am having the same problem again at another door. In addition to that, my drivers side power window isn't working properly. It usually goes down just fine but has trouble going back up. Sometimes it will hardly come back up at all. I located the relay but I hear a clicking noise when I try to operate the window that is coming from behind the fuse box.
All of this has been happening in the last week or two.
This morning the truck wouldn't even start, the battery was dead. I needed to have it jumped.
I am not sure if something is shorting out or even if these problems are related to each other.
Any information or help would be greatly appreciated.

The problem with the door ajar light is the switches in the doors. Spray(alot) wd40 in the latches and work the latch.

V10man covered one part, I just wanted to say "Welcome"!

But your window problem doesn't sound related to the sticking door latch. And I would find it odd that it caused the battery to go dead but rather that the weak battery somehow create that problem.

Have you replaced or recharged your battery since? Does the window problem still exist? I would replace the relay to start with, as well as, make sure the tracks are clean of any obstructions that may cause the motor to work harder than designed.

Keep us posted, huh?

Thanks for both of your replies. I will try the wd-40 on the door latches and will start with replacing the relay in the window. I am still unsure on how the battery went dead. I have since charged it and it is still holding a full charge.
Again, thanks for your help.

Keep a can Of WD40 in the car... It is the oly cheap and long lasting solution to FORD's rocket science idea of putting the switches for the interior lights in the door latch... the pins get dirty and can trun on at inconvienent times. it only takes a second to correct.
