Im going to try to go too. Only 200 miles from me to Gate 1. If you're going late, you can usually get a motel room east of Carlisle. The ones in the town itself are usually long gone.

I'm cranking up my 78' 150 ranger supercab and towing my camper to carlisle. 1st time for me and looking forward to it. All I need now is a pocket full of cash! We need to get FTE flags or something to show our allegance or meet up with other members.

All trucks-carlisle

I plan on attending the all trucks show at carlise. I got to hook up with a fellow member of this site for some parts he has.... some flags or banners would be an awesome idea, if for anything to advertise this site at a huge show... I know I would be carrying one around...

Had a blast. Heard alot of complaining about the judging again. This year you had to sit in line to get judged. Last year there were many not judged or items missed by the judges. so which is better?

This was my first time entering in the judged portion, so i had nothing to compare it to. i wasnt crazy about the setup, and luckily i went over the hill to get judged at about 815, i was 5th in line, and was back at my spot by 920 or so.

i can see the merits of having one location for all judged vehicles, for friends owning diff. vehicles to be able to park together, but if they do that, each vehicle should be clearly marked as to what category it is in, ya know? i had no idea, a few educated guesses, but no solid knowledge as to what trucks i was up against... not that it mattered, but would have been nice to know. all i know was the other 2 trucks in my class that placed. there might have only been 3, but there might have been 10... i had no idea

anyways.... my $.02 on the judging...... i'll still be heading back next year regardless.....

I drove nearly 7 hours to get to this show... Just to hook up with a fellow member to get some parts I have been searching for.... Well worth the trip..

Between the swap meet.... and the truck show.. I had a great time.. but again I must say ... some banners, flags, or even t-shirts so that other FTE members can reconize each other... even in just passing...

Just a thought.....

Regardless I will be heading back to carlisle for the fall swap meet... How is that swap? Is the venue usually full?
