I hadn't really thought about this and I kinda thought the dealer was giving me a story when he told me this, but the dealer is saying that it's harder to get what I want if I wait until late March or the 1st week of April to order a 2004 F-150 Lariat 4x4. Is this true and how late can I really wait? I will order it no later than the 1st week of April, but I really can't order it before that because my wife and I have an agreement about when I will buy the vehicle. So now this issue with delays and potentially not getting what I want is starting to concern me. Any input would be appreciated.

 

My dealer says that August is the month to panic about. Buy before then if you are ordering one.

 

Thanks. The dealer I was talking to yesterday made it sound like it was a little 'iffy' to order it even as early as May. He went on and on about how the Lariat is selling much better than anyone expected and that it might be more difficult to get the exact order I wanted if I wait until the beginning of April to order it. I kinda think he's just wanting me to order it early for his own purposes. I'd love to order it today, but you know...I have a wife That's why I need to wait a few more months.
