2002 f350 leveling kits
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 20-Sep-02 AT 01:11 AM (EST)]>what is a hanger kit?
A hanger kit is a leveling kit. There are two types, hanger or add-a-leaf type. Anyway, the hanger kit replaces the stock hanger with a larger one. The hanger is where the leaf springs connect to the front of the truck. The stock hangers look kind of like a black trianlge shaped pieces. If you take a look in my misc. pics gallery, you will see two large blue pieces. Thoes are the Fabtech Hangers. Below is from the Fabtech site:
"The Fabtech spring hanger system obtains 3.5" of front end lift without changing the front leaf springs. The super stout spring hangers replace the factory units without welding or cutting. Typically these spring hangers will level off the ride height of a stock Super Duty front to rear. Excursion models will require a 3" rear block kit to level off the ride height. 2001 and Excursion systems include replacement front frame crossmember and bumper brackets."
>does the truck sit level?
My truck is lifted 11" so I wouldn't be able to tell you how a stock truck with just the Fabtech Hanger kit would sit, but I would think level.
>is it $
It about $590 with new shocks.
>how was the ride effected?
It won't change the stock ride because you're not adding any additional leaf springs.
