I was wondering through my local junkyard today and I came accross this axle I may try to put in my truck, anyone ID it for me?
I paid $200 for it, I hope that wasn't too much.
has #'s 610220 4 and 41858B stamped in the axle tube

looks like a newer dana mod 44 those numbers dont cross reference in the book though, on the front by the cover stamped into the housing there should be a 35 or 44 stamped into it on the short-side bottom. is the tag still on the diff cover?
