Hi, my name is sedrick. I was wondering how your truck is running? I have a 1999 F250 Sd 5.4L with 201,600 miles on it. Mine runs very well.

Thumbs up

HAVE 2
2004 F350 XLT 4X4 - 6.0L = 175,000MILES recalled for injectors and head stud upgrade. under warranty. No charge but without truck for a week.

2007 F350 lariat 4x4 6.0L just rolled over 55,000 miles had an issue with the stereo but runs strong average 24 MPG @75MPH. Mileage went up 2 MPG at 45,000. I think there is something in the computer program when it rolled over 45K it was like a another chip was installed.

Actually if you do the math as in miles/year, I've still got ya beat.

Take your 270,000 miles/8 years (age of truck) and you only get 33,750 miles/year average.

Take my 204,000 miles/5 years and you get 40,800 miles/year average.

So yeah...

Little of this, little of that.

It IS my primary daily driver and I use it to tow the boat back and forth to the lake and also Beaufort, SC (about 150 miles away). Girlfriend still lives in Beaufort so it does see a lot of road time. Hopefully that'll change when she graduates school end of this summer and moves up here (Columbia, SC).

Mileage on '97 F-250 HD

1997 F-250 HD with 5.8 L
Long Box SuperCab 4x4

300000 km (190000 mi)

I changed the water pump, timing chain, and thermostat at about 250000 km, Thermostat was a bit sticky and I got carried away. Bosche Platinum +4 plugs (twice). Cap and rotor. Front UJ's and wheel bearings etc Other than regular oil changes thats it for the drivetrain.

The drivers door handle about 4 times.
The exhaust manifolds have been cracked for almost ever (since before 150,000 km for sure)

Excellent truck!! I got a 2006 F-350 Lariat 4x4 crew cab 6.0 l. I now have 44000 km on the 06. No problems but too early to tell yet.
It pulls better than the old one, but ol' blue did the job pulling my trailer over the Rockies several times.

I still have the '97.
And a spare 5.8l as well from my '95 that died whilst killing a semi. Not even a window broken when struck by a semi at 60 mph. Totaled the semi as well. Motor still good though so I kept it as a spare for the replacement '97. The motor is for sale if anyone wants to buy it. It was stored inside.

Sorry to not have replied, it's a 5.4L truck and I got it used about 15k miles earlier. It needed a tune up but it runs very well.

You got smacked by a semi at 60mph totaling both trucks but didnt break the windows? Wow. I have seen some prety nasty accidents with ford trucks and they do hold up amazingly well. I've had two bumper stickers in ford trucks one last year. The one last year nailed me when i was at a light and i thought sure the person in the car that hit me was seriously injured cause the car was a twisted mass of wreckage. But, the car still sorta could move and it went down the road for a bit spewing smoke and droping peices before it quit. The driver was a drunk mexican not very fluent. Damage to my truck, 0, cept for a bent bumper which i had to replace.
The one before that was similiar cept cause by a cop at 3am. a two lane road and the cop was in front of me. The cop stopped to jaw with another cop going the other way and i stopped and patiently waited when ka wham! i got nailed from behind by two drunken girls. There car was messed up in the front pretty bad but they felt no pain. When the cop asked them if they were ok, they said yes, and that there car was fine. The cop didnt want to deal with this so he did nothing to the girls for being drunk and made no report but did call them a tow truck. This time it was my trailer hitch that did the most damage to there car but i did not get a scratch. Ford trucks are tough
