Unhappy 1956 223 cam thrust plate, HELP!!

Hi guys,
I really need a camshaft thrust plate for a 223 in 6. I just rebuilt my 223 and found the thrust plate broke. It bolts on behind the timing gear and in front of the cam. It keeps the cam from coming out. Any help would be great. I could really use it soon.
Thanks
Chris

Chris,

Welcome from south of the border. Have you tried the '48-'60 forum? Patience would be a virtue... Not many '56's around - congrat's an havin' one...

thanks for your reply, I have a post on both places so hopefully I will find someone with one forsale. Your sure right, '56 are one of the least hardest to find let alone an F-250 like mine. I've tried all the parts stores (Napa, Carquest, L.M.C truck, Mac's, etc) they even had the Ford databases searched for new or NOS and nothing. I'm still looking. Thanks again
Chris
