auto hubs to manual hubs conversion kit
I've been doing a little research on here, I just want to verify if I need a conversion kit when I put on manual hubs in place of my auto hubs on my 94 f350 with 5 screws on the cap? Does the 3 screw versus 5 screw info only apply to Warn, or Mile Marker as well? Standard and Premium? The reason I ask is my Dad says he has a set of hubs with part number M256 11690 on the box, I heard mile marker used this number too, but I think they're Warn standard duty for 3/4 and 1 ton. anyone know which these are for sure? Thanks for your help, Tim

As long as you have the 5 screw auto hubs, the manuals are just a bolt in. I just but a set of Warn hubs in mine. You remove everything from the end of the spindle out and slide the inner hub body in, install large outer lock ring, make sure hub body has a little end play, install small snap ring in the groove around the axle shaft, and finally bolt outer body to inner body. Real easy. Might be a good time to pack and adjust wheel bearings also. Make sure bearings are adjusted properly so the inner hub body slides in and out slightly. Also remeber not to overly grease everything, just a light coat on the inside of the hub, splines and maybe on the innerworkings of the hub. Too much grease=inoperable hubs.
