Back around '95 I bought a new rubber mat for my '79 supercab from JC whitney, it still looks good. It is out there, you are on the right track.
There are some good products for cleaning carpet, I have had good luck with RESOLVE products, the powder is good for general cleaning and smells, spot magic is good for spots.

Try the salvage yard, I got a carpet to swap with my rubber floor for 15.00. I would imagine it would cost about the same. As far as cleaning the carpet I just took it to the spray wash and blasted the crud out, its much quieter in the cab with carpet since it covers the whole floor.

I think I installed my new mat over my old mat to give more insulation.
