Question Mustang 4.6 change to 5.4L

Good mornin and hello. I own a 1999 F-150 and got rooked by the car salesman. Odometer fraud and so on. But the silver lining is that I picked up a 1999 5.4L new for dirt cheap. So, I am gonna swap out the engine and I will be left with the original. Where can I get performance parts for this engine and I was told that it would bolt up to a 4.6L mustang. Anybody got any good info or ideas? I would greatly appreciate them. Thank you!

Performance parts will be some of the same basic bolt-ons you can get for the 4.6.....throttle bodies, CAI's, pulleys, fan kits, headers, other exhaust parts, etc. Swapping a 5.4 into a Mustang is seeming to gain popularity because even a stock 5.4 will yield good performance...where you'll find trouble is whether you decide to keep it n/a or forced induction. Horsepower building n/a intakes for the 5.4's are almost nonexistant for a reasonable price....even more so if you swap 4V heads on to it. 4.6 intakes won't bolt up to a 5.4 without custom spacers. I'd say slap a supercharger on that 5.4, maybe get the heads ported, and have fun.
