I have a 1998 f-150 4.6 ltr.Today i was on my way to work in traffic i went to get on the hwy and put the peddle to the floor.MY truck was spitting and spuddering in the passing gear.Itran fine in every other gear with no problems.DO I need to change the plugs or what?

 

Possibly, I would change the fuel filter and clean the mass-air sensor as well.

It's probably your plugs. My truck did the same thing when my plugs were bad. I would also go ahead and buy new wires and coil packs, just to be safe.
