Hey anybody out there.
Hellooooooooooooooooooo. Well anyway, just wanted to pass a little info your alls, Yalls way. If you have a battery change, or disconnect the battery, drive your truck awhile before you take it to get an inspection to reset the computer. Drive intown and on the highway, stop and go as well as cruse at highway speed. It might save you a failed test, or system not ready for testing failure prob.

Hey John.
Yes disconecting the battery will upset the computer. What i should have put in the note, was that you should give the computer a chance to relearn its settings by taking a drive after repair work is done. Then take your truck to have an emissions inspection done where the truck is now pluged into computer to check for codes or problems. A day or two after seems to be good.

If the KAM memory in the PCM has been reset (cleared) by
a battery disconnect, this will show up when they do the OBD-II
scan for the emissions test. So, after a battery disconnect, it's
a good idea to reload the KAM memory by driving it a while
before going in for the emissions test, like Boss said....
