Gonna Blow My 460.....

Thankx to my friends (Dusty in particular) I have come into a TS2000 Kenne Bell blower for my 7.5L Big Block... My question for all of you board readers is... Do any of you have any experances with installing, using, tuneing, or anything having to do with twin screw superchargers on late model fuel injected BB Fords? If so PLEASE respond here I need the help... and advice! If you would perfer to keep on the QT you can email me personally at meshaffer at mindspring.com either way is fine, I can use any and all the help anyone can offer... Thankx in advance

Have a great day!

Gonna Blow My 460.....

Just a quick note on one of the replies. The E4OD is actually the same as the C6 but it is updated and has a stronger reverse gear. I was thinking about the same thing that you are going to do and started reading a 4x4 mag when low and behold I found an article on trannies and that was what I read. I was a little suprised then I thought about it Ford is smart enough to know not to change a good thing so they made it electrically controlled and beefed up reverse.

In making the E4OD out of the C6, Ford also added another gear/speed, plus a lockup torque converter, and an apparently shift-happy confuser.

BTW, there's a Ford TSB saying the E4OD isn't turbo or supercharger compatible. They don't say why. I think they are just covering their behinds.

Gonna Blow My 460.....

What about all of the Blown Gen 1 Lightnings they all have E4OD's... TQ. may be higher on my truck but most of those lightnings have big HP numbers, and they seem to hold together... BTW I have a built valve body (performance automatics) run B&M Trick Shift and a Force 10 converter and all of the soft (plastic) parts have been swapped out with the E4OD from a diesel which are more heavy duty (what is in the Gen 1's I think)... I am more worried about the drive shaft and wish I knew where to get an aluminum balanced racing drive shaft...

But.. I started this post to find anyone who had blown a 460 using a twin screw not the typical Vortec..... Can anyone help me?

Mike...
