seat belt chime

Hello
I have a 2012 f350drw
and I am unable to turn seatbelt chime off .
I followed what it said to do in the book .
would my alarm system or remote start stop this from working /?

You may have misread the directions. It worked fine on my truck.

seat belt

I went to ford , they gave me a couple seat belt extensions, free. about 8 inches long , leave it plugged in to seat belt , chime stays off, and plug my seat belt into it, easy. no rewiring, and can take it off , and be back to normal in a second or two.. works for me..
