It is much easier closing off the 1 barrel carburetor!

Update

Found this in a 83 would i need this for the swap?

​​ I haven't tested the smoke yet I will as soon as I can get back to it. Thank you all for tour help
but like I said before it starts up fine and cold idles until operating temp then it dies at every stop light. Ill keep you all update on what I figured out.

Are you asking about the wiring or the silver box? That box in the picture is the voltage regulator for the alternator.

If you are asking about a DSII ignition swap. That distributor in your second picture is the correct one for that swap. The ignition module will be a larger aluminum box on the driverside inner fender. Here's a pic of the DSII set up. It should also have the ignition coil and horse shoe connector but appears to be cut off in the picture below.

Yeah I was thinking that would be the box for the conversion but it don't look like it though. I know where the distributor is and possibly the box haven't seen the non feedback carb. Maybe I can get to another junkyard and see what all they have.

The recent things that I have done to my truck is in the pictures besides the last 2 in my previous reply. Just put some balljoints and rotors on it that way it would pass inspection. Shew it was a hastle trying to get the 4wd guts out of the hub and put back in. I survived the test run so I think it will be good.

FIXXXED

It was two small vacuum leaks on the tree next to the egr valve two little holes in the rubber caps. Replaced them and it runs like a top
