Morning Neil. Got some short rest and a fresh reload of coffee before the lights came back on.
Oh well, I bet that it was nice while it lasted. My building at work houses the IT department so we unfortunately have a back up generator that powers the entire building. The rest of the county buildings downtown do not have backup power so we are stuck here if there is a long power outage. The rest of the county buildings are at a campus about a mile or so out of town. I believe that most of those buildings have backup power seeing that the public safety, sheriff and 9-1-1 center are there.
Hey, we're not even making power anymore. We're basically just a spent fuel storage facility now!
Fair point!

Turns out they got the generators up and running to help keep the plant going during outages, but all we have in engineering are battery backup packs plugged in to each computer at present. I guess plans are in the works for a generator to keep the office going, since battery backup is only good for so long on a PC.
Kind of like me....at the end of the month....Like now. Everything is done. Other than when things break, like they did this morning. Otherwise, I'm hanging out here, and watching YouTube videos, or movies. And that will only get to be more often.
That's both good and bad. We've had power back for a while and I've been playing catch-up, but I'm really looking forward to around mid-May or so when work slows up a bit. Things should be at a much more reasonable pace and I shouldn't be here 10-12 hours a day.
More truck time! I certainly wouldn't want it like this all the time. There are days when I enjoy being busy, and days that I'd rather do nothing. Today is an "enjoy doing almost nothing" day.
