Morning Shawn...big wind here also...watching folks garbage cans blow by all morning. Tornado nearby Saturday night...fortunately only property damage...no injuries. Hold on to your hat!!!
Last one around here was 6 years ago...some towns still haven't finished rebuilding. I believe 3 people lost their lives in that one. It was a much longer duration storm than the one Saturday.
I don't know if you can chalk it up to climate change but the weather seems to be a lot more changeable and violent lately. The trees that came down here early this week have been there for at least 50 years with no issues - then, bam, big winds and down they come. Glas I wasn't driving back north this week in the middle of the tornadoes.
Yup, bend over because mother nature has a big surprise for you this week and weekend. 72 degrees a few days ago, -10 coming up. Nothing quite like an 80 degree swing. You'll need to tighten up the thong in these temps. Have a great day.
Good morning Shawn. But the continuous theme is - still no snow

good morning Ken. Good thing you ate those extra donuts to help hold you down.
Does happen, but rare. Around 4 years ago there was one that hit Washington village. Damaged the roof on one building I believe
I thought they determined that was a straight line wind shear event. We've had those here and they have close to the force of a tornado but it is straight line wind, not circular. In any event, we do get some hellacious winds down here once in a while.
If the garbage cans had been out this AM they'd be in the neighbor's yard by now.
