92 460 map sensor?

Hey guys, I've been working on my old truck now that I have some time off. Anyway probably 2 years ago I went to change the water pump and it appears that the previous owner had changed it already becuase it was smeared with blue silicone everywhere. No gaskets. So anyway I used a small amount of black silicone to hold the gasket in place. Torqued the bolts to spec and turned the key. Pop. The blue silicone had hydraulically pushed the back out of the blind holes in the cover and the pieces fell on to the timing chain and broke the chain when I hit the key.
So I pushed it aside for a possible engine swap later.
Now it's later. 2 new heads and push rods were bought cuase I figured it bent some stuff. Changed the heads out. Cleaned the injectors with new cups and orings. Tired to fire it up with the front clip off just to be sure. Fired up for a couple seconds till tranny fluid came out of the lines. Figured it was good some continued assembly. Found a broken hose barb on the map sensor so I grabbed one from an old powerstroke I had on the shelf.

Now it only runs for like a second. If that. Could the powerstroke map not work with the fuel injection engine? I'm at work not around the truck, thinking about it. I thought it was a ground issue by then remembered I changed that sensor. Just a thought maybe someone has done the same.

I can't say, maybe run to the junkyard and grab a couple just to see.
I ran into that issued with that blind hole many years ago. I was helping an old gent put new timing chain and seals into his Lincoln Mark 5 460. He takes everything to the machine shop, has it all cleaned up and painted nice for me to put together after work. Well, they had sandblasted everything and didn't blow the sand out of that blind hole, tightened the bolt and popped the chunk out which snapped the new timing chain.

Yeah good times. I thought for sure the valves would be bent or pistons hit but it didn't hit anything

So here's an update. I went out this morning and unplugged the powerstroke map sensor and hit the key. Fired right up. So either the powerstroke sensor is bad or just doesn't work with the fuel injection.

The powerstroke MAP sensor will not work on a gasoline engine. The PSD map sensor has a completely different pressure/frequency curve.
