99 expedition weird noise

I have a 99 expedition 5.4l with around 140k. I had tranny issues due to a bad harness but the shop ended up doing a tranny then finally wanted to listen to me and also did the harness, it was shifting really hard then stuck in third. Got the truck back and it was fine, no more bad shifts nothing. Driving down the road and all of a sudden I had a weird noise like someone spun the wheel of fortune from under my hood. After months of checking here and there finally figured out that the sound was if the torque converter was loose. I checked the 4 nuts today and they are tight. Noticed 3 of the tranny bolts on driver side were loose. Tightened then up and the noise got alot quieter. The ones on the pass side were tight. If the ones on top are loose would that still cause the noise of i the torque converter bad all together?

Probably not...the noise you're still hearing is more likely damage already done. I'd go talk to the tranny shop that did the work and see what they'll do for you.

Damn. Looks like it's will b on me to get a new converter. I refuse to pay then $400 for a tune up when it was there for the tranny and they did it with out even asking. So would definitely be torque converter?

No not definitely...I'm not there to see or hear it for myself.
