Lets try and keep this on topic. We all live in different climates where road conditions and truck styles differ. What might be a hazzard from sand and gravel being kicked up in Alaska may not be an issue in the south states like Texas. To each their own.

Lol... well that went south quickly!! As I said I don't knock anyone's style. I don't have anything to do with salt or snow because I'm in florida...truck doesn't leave the state! As far as not being able to use it for what it was intended for... hmmmmmm who made the "intended rules book" the old diesel helped many people... nulled many boats.. I don't know...joined the thread for people interested as it has been asked a lot since I came back a few days ago.. if you hate lifted trucks here's an easy idea...don't click this thread again.

Sorry, I meant to label the people who lift their trucks and run wide stance without running mud flaps and fender flares as a-holes. I didn't mean to bash everyone for it, just those who don't take into consideration the damage they can do and the safety risk they pose to others.

Thanks OP for getting this started! New to this forum and diesel trucks. I have a 2017 Platinum with a 2" level kit and I'm trying to find a 22" wheel and tire set up that won't stick out. I'm looking at a set of American Force forged 22x11 with a zero offset, 6" backspacing that I would pair with a Nitto 35" tire. Anybody have a idea how much this setup will stick out? I could go with a OEM fender flare painted to match if necessary. I would prefer to not have to go with the bigger Bushwacker flares. I am currently using the truck as my daily driver so any input on the best tire to go with is appreciated. Thanks for any help!

I too am glad somebody started this thread as I want to see what others have done...especially wheel & tire combos that don't stick out. I went through that with my previous Ram and I will never and I mean never do it again. The sides, and underneath of that truck were shredded apart and what was saved with flares was ruined by them rubbing the paint. It's somebody else's issue now but I won't do it again since I have a little more love for my Super Duty.

I'm not usually a huge fan of really wide wheels, but that is a fantastic looking truck. Probably one of my favorite 17's so far.

Those are going to stick out around 2". A stock wheel is 8" wide and +20 offset I believe, maybe +40. Anyways they are going to stick out a few inches.

I've seen them quoting the stock wheels as +40. I'm looking at 20x9 aftermarket wheels and won't go any less than probably a +18 which according to a calculator I found will put the them out ~1 inch more than the stock wheel which I consider acceptable as they'll be pretty much flush with the fender. I just would like to see more real world examples as I don't want to be a $2-3K guinea pig

I'm supposed to get my 18x9's with +18 offset mounted tomorrow. I'll post pics when I get it done. According to method wheels it'll be close to flush, they said the tire itself may barely stick out because its wider than the rim. My tires at toyo at-II's 285-75-18 which is 34.8x11.3

I have 20x9 +20 Fuel rims going on tomorrow with either ridge grappler or toyo at2 @295/65/20... Going to mount up one of each and move it around the truck. If its to my liking and I decide on the tire,,, maybe I'll have a picture

This is about where I was thinking of heading with my truck. I appreciate any feedback you and oklarado can give!

Well if my truck actually show up today, they should be unloading it right now, I hope to get wheels and tires on tomorrow if the shop has time to do it. Pictures will be up as soon as I'm done. My hope is to put the 1.5 level on tonight so they can do an alignment when I get tires put on.
