My 2008 160k mile Expy has developed a break problem. Wife went to take the kids to school yesterday and no brakes! The pedal is like a rock, if you stand on it you have some very vague facsimile of brakes. I'm thinking I have a bad booster? Any thoughts on this or a way to troubleshoot before I just blindly start swapping parts?

 

False alarm. I figured it out Check truck out after listening to wife before posting to FTE

 

Been there. My mechanic has made $40 more than once to check brakes on the Mrs car that were completely fine.

 

So what was the 'real' issue?

 

I was not able to get the truck into a shop until late last week. It looks like a bad vacuum leak at the intake manifold, back of the engine. I gave them the okay to tear into it late Friday, fingers crossed that is all it is.
