Use a screwdriver to compress the spring that keeps the **** in place. There is a slit in the **** where you have to insert the screwdriver and press it towards you. The **** then slides out.

Pull the **** out. Turn it until you see the slot on the throat of the ****. Once you find it, use a "fine line" regular screwdriver and drop it into the slot. PULL the screwdriver tip TOWARDS you. Once it pulls against the **** retainer, pull slightly on the **** while still pulling with the screwdriver. It should pop right off thus allowing the dash assembly to come right off. good luck. Jake.
