Hey all,
Ive been looking for a new truck for the past couple months, and I was almost sold on a '13 F150, but luckily ran across a '06 F350 Super Cab LB 4x4.
Still keeping all options open, but this seems like an excellent platform truck (I dont need the diesel towing capabilities, just love the size of the trucks and performance).
This specific truck looks immaculate, garage kept, 35K miles!!! Used as a toy hauler from the previous owner, and I am working on getting service records from the seller. The seller is asking 21k, which sounds fair to me.
I plan on meeting up with the seller at some point this week, and having his local Ford dealer go through it just to ensure that I am not missing anything.

Suggestions and tips before I get in too far over my head?

 

I would have somebody who really knows his 6.0 stuff to take a good hard look at it including hooking up all the scanning equipment. Its eleven years old. What part of the country has it lived? You might want to read up in the six o forum and watch YouTube all things six o.

 

Ive been trying to absorb as much info as I can through the past couple days. I dont mind one bit doing minor repairs on the truck, I just dont want to get a surprise of a couple thousand dollar repair after buying it.
The oil changes were done between 5-6k miles, which sounds fine with what I have been reading on here. The owner put on some nice 35's and a leveling kit, but that is all that he has done to it.
Im optimistic that since this is such a low mile and maintained truck, that it will be free of big problems. But im sure saying that could come back to bite me in the butt...
