Man, you shoud have seen that F150 when we got it! Total pile of junk. Took a year and a half to get it that way. Thanks though...
Isnt that crazy!? We bought a New 2013 F250 King Ranch and it was like 65K! We sold it as soon as we sold our boat. Way too expensive now a days. Thanks!
Ha.. I know, I keep going back and forth but I know when June hits and we top 100 degrees Ill be kicking myself for not having A/C. Thank you..
OMG........$8100 for a new truck!!!!!!! LOL......I remember in '77 a buddy of mine ordered himself a brand new GMC Sierra Classic 1/2T 4x4 which was THE fancy trim model we all thought he was insane for spending $7500 on a truck.......LMAO.........Nice clean find!!! Both of your trucks are beautiful!!!

I'm in kinda the same dilemma. You have a potential show truck here with the documentation you have. It would be nice to see at a show with all the original equipment and information you have on it. Looks like your not hurting for money so maybe save it for your kid someday or someone else. Its hard for me to see any modifications from stock on this this one. Heck you still have an original air cleaner on it. Many trucks I have sold just because i couldn't bring myself to change them from what they were. Dave
Ha.. Thanks, youll be seeing a lot more of it here.

An interesting tid bit. Your truck was bought originally about 25 minutes from my childhood home. Valley ford is still in business as well. If your at all interested, i can have someone pick you up one of their dealer stickers for the tailgate if your into that kind of thing.
Thanks for the input, parts of me say keep it original and the other part wants a reliable daily driver. Decisions Decisions!
Sooooo jealous right now. I wish I could come across a deal like this one. The truck is simply gorgeous. Pretty soon though your going to be the expert on these trucks giving everyone else help. Hehehe. I like the idea of adding the full race track trim and two tone.

Add a/c=ok, efi=no opinion. race track chrome on a 4x4, I wouldn't. Get rid of the 16.5s would be on my list. I'm not a fan of huge tires tho. I would go with some stock 90s 7 inch wide steelys, 265/285-75-16 tires and find a set of stock stainless center caps.
And while I realize those old farm truck trannys are a pita in traffic, I'd keep it 3 pedals.

Beautiful truck you have. You have a great friend!
I agree that adding the race track trim is mildly unfavorable mainly because of the holes necessary to install clips and such. More holes mean more opportunity for future rust and paint deterioration. If installed though, the trim sure does dress up the look of those trucks and that is nice too. Your truck = your choice!
Alternator upgrade/wiring upgrade good choice.
More modern 16" wheels are a good choice away from the 16.5" factory ones.
Australian ('aussie') 2V Cleveland heads are a great upgrade for your 351M/400 engine, especially if you're experiencing the dreaded pinging-detonation those engine are prone to having.
Those are great rock-solid rigs, hard to beat the way they were factory built.
Love your truck! Good luck.
