Karl I did the 8 inch drop. I don't leave it in. Almost certain 4-6 inches would suffice for most sizeable trailers but didn't see any reason not to be cautious.

Thanks man. I'm 99% the 8" is the way I'm going. Analysis paralysis has me stuck at the moment but I'll likely pull the trigger before bed... or the second I wake up at the latest...LOL.

Karl, I have the 8" for my '14, and it is two inches more than anything I have needed. An 8" is probably great for most needs on a stock '17.

Is the gaudy "Weigh Safe" on the hitch a sticker that can be removed or is it painted?

Yeah, I'm pretty certain it's a clear(ish) sticker. Peal it then clean residue with goo gone, paint thinner, etc...

You should have held off. I would at least call them if you placed your order and have the promo applied. I spoke with them directly about it last night and it's new and set up just for us. And, even if that one is acting up, ( I just emailed them about it) the other code has been used successfully yesterday. Both should be working but if the FTE one is not, they will get it corrected ASAP. 10% on something this expensive is something that shouldn't be passed up!

All good free shipping to my canadian address is good by me if they call about the shipping then i will ask about the discount and i have a US address they can send to if it's a problem it's a friend about 2hrs away he comes back home at least once a month

OK, already heard back. They told me that 4 members used our FTE code last night without issue so maybe you entered it wrong bronc? They said to contact them and they would apply it manually for you!
