Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 29, (wind chill = 18° F) up from 22. Got .27" of snow, not much at all.
Taking a day off from elk hunting unless Gene calls and says they are in the horse pasture. Getting first of the month bills done, Care Home meeting and meeting with the Hospice Nurses.
Other than that, back inside admiring my fire. Have to watch it closely to make sure it doesn't go out. Wouldn't want the Warden, Sthickly or Duke to have anything to complain about.

Morning everyone, 23 at the compound. If it will stays this way I think I can drive to one of my wood piles and load it in the truck. Will beat multiple trips with the tractor. Frozen ground has some benefits.

Good morning. 21 degrees here. Work is on a 2 hour delay, but with Springfield schools cancelled my office might be closed again. I wish they'd just call it one way or the other instead of changing their mind part way through the morning.

Belated good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 22 early this morning and has climbed to 28.
Elk in a horse and cattle ranch back 40 (same herd we went after day before yesterday) that we don't have permission to hunt on, and another herd in a canyon we won't descend into until tomorrow. One of those areas that takes a couple of people to go into and my partner got called into work late this morning. Partners son is trying to get ahold of the ranch owner about permission to hunt their back 40. Much nicer to drag them out as opposed to packing them out of a canyon. And, this is a special "crop & property damage hunt" anyway.
Tastes like Chicken!
(Thai, but close)
It's only 86° on the hopper lid and 90° just to the side of the lid where they are laying, so dinner will be a while. Side of the stove runs around 91. The metal & glass on the door and room air vent is an entirely different story...
