Anyone know what the kit might be or better yet, have a link to a thorough thread on the conversion? Thanks.
Do yourself a favor and do Not buy the Warns. The quality is not what they used to be. Look at Superwinch. By far the best bang for the buck. #400439

You have 30 spline axles like every production dana 60

You will need a way to remove the old auto locking hub nut. That uses a 2-3/4" socket.

The manual locking hub's nuts uses a 4 prong socket. It is approx 2-1/2" diameter.

As for the locking nuts themselves. WARN, AND MILEMARKER both make them. Stage 8 also has a nice set as well

I haven't heard good things about the Warn hubs either... the guy that talked to me about them does a lot of mud trucks and said he would take them off anything he owned and install either OEM or Superwinch hubs.

Weren't the OEMs made by Warn? I've got OEMs on my '85, and except for the brand, they don't look a lick different from the Warn standards.

Wanna sell them madpogue? I would like those more than anything. LOL

Well now I have heard two different camps say each one of those hubs is junk and not to put them on the truck so I'm not sure what to do. I'll stick with Warns if I can't find a set of OEM for the Dana 60.

I have had one Warn go bad on me but I'm not entirely certain it wasn't my fault; I may have left it partially engaged. But that didn't matter as they sent me a brand new set for free. So at least their customer service is still top notch.

If you want a set of OEMs, go find yourself an F250 Dana 50 in the junk yard.

^^^^ Similar experience. We had one Warn get hung up. It was the plating on the outer cap, interfering with the dial that you turn. Swapped out both on warranty, took all of 15 minutes (if that) to swap. Local 4x4 shop where we originally got them had a set in stock, so it was a no-wait swap. I have no basis for comparing them with anything else.

And no, the OEMs on my '85 are staying on my '85; like the truck itself, they're not for sale.

I'll have to do some digging at my local truck salvage yard. I didn't know Dana 50 Hubs for the 60.

Yep, D50 and D60 hubs, bearings, studs, and lockouts are the same. My local yard always leaves them on the trucks because no one wants the ttb stuff. BTW, don't scrap your auto hubs either; some people really like them and they will sell pretty quickly on ebay.

I won't and thanks for the heads up. They work great. Just used 4wd yesterday. I hope I can find some!
