OK... remember I said this truck broke down about a year ago? Well during the diagnostics of the fuel system, we removed the fuse to the fuel pump. So (hubby will harass the crap out of me for forgetting that) found an owners manual online and verified I should have a fuse in 26 and my memory returned. Duh. So engine started but not running smooth. I only ran it for a few minutes. Should I check vacuum lines or keep it running and let the PCM balance it out.

Since it's been awhile since that engine was running, I'd let it get up to temperature to see if it smooths out once it gets any foreign materials burned out. But if after several minutes it's still running roughly, I'd be looking for vacuum leaks, checking spark plugs and wires, making sure the intake air tubing is all connected correctly, making sure all sensors are plugged in, etc.

Thank you ... I shall. One more question. Should I just keep RPMs as close to 2K as possible? It seemed like it wanted to stall a couple of times. I only ran it for a minute since it was still in the garage. I wanted to get it out of the garage to burn off all the extra oil in the cylinders from assembly.

Well thats a big OOPS on the fuse thing, but we've all been there and done the same sorta thing.

Glad to hear it's running and 2K for a few minutes should'nt hurt it.

OK... Was very slow crank but started and smoothed out nicely. SO this thread can be closed. I will have to look for or start one for Slow crank.
