Original 70 swb what's it worth?
Figured this might get a little more action here
Got an opportunity to buy a all original swb 1970 ford ranger
302, 3 speed. No rust, 1 owner, original pristine paint! Only thing
Replaced is seat bottom cover and has later model wheels. What's this truck
Worth?
Thanks
Aaron

He's right. There are too many variables involved to give a useful answer (see above $1,500 - $12,000 quote) without much more info.
Lots of pics outside, inside and under. Location and description of mechanical condition, etc etc. Even then you will need the right buyer if you're gonna get a good result.

ill get pics soon. Truck is mint mechanically and body. Zero rust. Not sure what else there is to say. I was more or less looking for a $ range that these 67-72 trucks bring these days in excellent condition unmolested. Truck is located in Arkansas but would be for sale on a national level

It is true that it would be very difficult to gauge a ball park figure of what a truck (or any vehicle) is worth without being able to see any photos of the actual vehicle that's up for sale.
There could be a million issues with it, a moderate amount wrong with it or, virtually nothing wrong with it (sellers often don't tell the truth or the whole story if they think they may miss out on a sale). Even so and whatever the case, prices vary widely for these same conditions, whatever those conditions may be.
I live in south-central Arkansas. The green truck pictured below is my '69 F100 Ranger. It's not perfect by any means. It has some dings and scratches in the paint but there's no body damage and virtually no rust in it. I bought it in Pine Bluff, AR nearly 6 years ago. The seller was asking $3,000.00. I gave $2,500.00 for it.
"Worth" depends on a lot of factors, where in the country the vehicle is being sold, who's selling it and most importantly --how much a buyer is willing to pay the seller, compared to the seller's asking price.

What's it worth? Depends, how much do you want to spend? When you sell, how much do you want to make?
If buying unseen, will you sell the same way?
If you bought it from someone who said, "Very little rust or no rust at all" Then after purchasing you discovered rust under fresh paint. Would you be honest when you sell it? Would you fix what needed fixing then exaggerate the price? Most of us by these trucks because we plan on fixing them our way and not try to "flip them." For those of us who buy to flip, we fix them to make sure they are reliable and safe. (for instance, would you let your daughter drive it or your wife?) The re-sale might not net you much, but honesty pays off. Just my two cents.

This is just one person's opinion, but any deviation from stock makes them worth less. Such as non original color, aftermarket sound system with huge speakers carved into the doors, custom steering wheel, ect. Not to say there aren't tastefully done restomods, but dam few. Like they used to say when buying a vintage vette, any modification is the same as damage and the cost to undo it affects value the same as damage would.
