HD SupCrew Tow Rating vs. Normal SupCrew Two Rating??
Can someone please explain to me why the Harley Davidson Super Crew is limited to a 4500# tow rating, while the normal f150 2WD Super Crew is rated at 7900#? Why is the difference that much? Is it due to the 1 inch lowered suspension, or possibly the supercharger? I want to tow about 5000#. Has anyone tried to tow a boat or camper with the HD? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

From most of what I have read, it appears to be primarily the Goodyear tires and thier weight rating that limits this truck. The suspension is some of it with the lowering, however, look at the rating of the Lightning and you will see that it is higher than the HD.
