Filthy_F100 '73 F100 Prerunner style build
Hey guys and gals. So i'm trying my best to fulfill my dream of building a F100 Prerunner. I came across a f100 who was owned by a gentleman for 21 years. it is a 1973 F100 XLT short bed. It had a 360 in it but got tired and the old owner found a 94 351w motor minus the fuel injection so he put a carb setup on it and rebuilt it and bolted it up. The truck has a 351w bolted to a t18 four speed for now and a 9" rear end with a factory limited slip (3L50) which seems tired, cuz im pretty sure its a one legger now. I see TrueTrac in the new future.
First thing I did was put on an upgraded carb and air filter. I heard quick fuel makes good carbs, by holly so thats what i chose.
INSTAGRAM BUILD IS Filthy_F100 for yall who have it
here is the day i bought it
then after the new lungs
Like i said, prerunner, AKA 2WD off road truck with lots of wheel travel designed to travel race courses, or desert or baja terrain at very fast speeds. I prefer going to Pismo beach and glamis and going fast and jumping over slow rock crawling and playing in the mud
So i bought 6 method wheels, 17x9 -12 offset and am putting on 37x13.5 Toyo tires
Test fitting... they fit
Next. put on a single chamber. the 4 chamber the previous owner put on was way to quiet, he has a flex fan on it and it sounds like an airplane. twin electric fans would be nice someday but this noisy flex fan keeps the motor nice and cool in this hot california weather.
Tires came in. Man they look smaller on the internet than real life
sure a pretty combo
