LMC mirrors are my complaint too, along with their cab lights. Both are junk. I was able to find OEM cab lights but I am not sure what to do about mirrors. I have thought about finding factory mirrors in good shape or at least the heads themselves. The LMC arms are tolerable, although the hardware is already beginning to rust even with the truck being kept inside. I am pretty much stuck with those holes in the doors and I didn't want the aero mirrors on a dually.
How can you date the bed? I was told 96 when I bought it, just didn't really question it.

The diesel emblem is a dead give away.

I took out the Borg Warner VSS on the rear differential and replaced it with a Motorcraft. I'm not entirely sure I had to replace it because it had some metallic particles clinging to it that may have caused interference. The axles were completely rebuilt and I'm assuming that it is the new parts wearing in. The new sensor was $30 from my local dealer and I'd rather have the OEM part.
If you haven't already, try cleaning it. If it still has a problem get a new PSOM or see about having it repaired. There's a video on YouTube showing the process if you're interested in doing it yourself.
My cruise is still very sensitive up/down hills and overpasses but I think it is because the return spring on the pump is much weaker than the IDI pump, which makes for a very light pedal. I'll add a spring when I get time to fool with it.
