I'm in Beechgrove. I think we have heard from about 20 people from all over the state. We are planning to meet at the 4x4 jamboree in Sept. 19 20 and 21st
Superdave, It's good to here from you, been awhile! I tryed to get in touch with you and kcald1843 thru email and give you a heads up on the indiana chapter, I don't know if you got it. We are planning on meeting at the 4x4 jamboree on sept 20 at noon at my truck which will be near the playground at the state fairgrounds. If your interested ?
The 400 is great I've had a couple of small little problems (intake leaking oil, high rpm miss and runnin rich) the intake is fixed and one of these days I'll spend the money on a new carb and dist.
It has 4500 miles on it now. We are in the middle of buying our frist home and getting the truck cleaned up to show at the jamboree, so I'm real busy with it all. Hope to see you at the show.
Take care
I know my son is for sure going back up there to Indy next month.
He and some of friends are going again.
You will have to hit the Schied's Diesel Extraviganza in Terre Haute next summer. It is at the Vigo County Fairgrounds.
Wow, is all I can say. ATPA sanctioned diesel truck pulls, show and shine, diesel truck drag races. I don't mean the guy next door stuff either. I mean, knock the sun out with diesel smoke. And big honkin trucks roasting the hides like a sports car. Dyno testing, all kinds of diesel exhibits.
It was a 4 day event.
There were 2 Fords there that maxed the dyno. It was rated at 1000 ft pounds of torque and 500 HP. All they could post for them was TQ 1000 lbs +, and HP 500+.
Superdave tell your son to stop in and say hi. Let me know when that is going to be I'll come and check it out. I was out your way last nite lookin at a bronco for a buddy but it was junk.
Wayne
What type of and or year Bronco is your buddy looking for? I know where there is a 93 Full size, 351W fuel injected, Auto trans, A/C, Cruise, well fully loaded. Red & White XLT, Aluminum wheels, 11.00x32x15's. A little rust on the wheel wells. But its still sharp. It has 195,000 miles on the odometer but the engine has 30,000, Ford rebuild. It has a lot of miles on it, but its very tight still. Probably road miles. $3,500.
He looked at a 90 but it was rough He truefully shouldn't have wasted our time on this one but this will be his frist Ford so he don't know any better.
The one your talkin sounds good do you have pics? Is the price firm? Is it manual locks or push button? xlt eddie baur or somthing like that? I don't think he has more than 3k to spend.
If you can get a number or somthing
Thanks Wayne
Superdave Thanks for looking. He needs a pretty nice Bronco for about 3k. He and his wife are Chebby folks so I got him talked into replacing his chebby truck with a bronco . He is going to take cash to the jamboree.
