Same deal for me last spring. Only difference is that it wasn't a sudden pop type failure. Mine started quietly hissing until it it was a loud air rushing sound. Thought it was the turbo first. Yikes. Pulled over without shutting off and saw the crack right in the top rubber part of the hose. I could stick my thumb right in it. I was impressed by how much air was moving even at idle. Anyway, google "ford dealer near me" and limped 10 miles. I had the trailer attached and pulled in blocking about 3 bays. Got quick help and was out of there in an hour for $190. Only time the truck complained .

 

A few years ago, I went to trade in my daily driver. I reached a deal with the dealer and told them I'd be back after running to my bank to get a cashier's check.

As I left the parking lot, my car's timing belt snapped and a valve met the piston.

That was fun.

 

LOL....gascan, you weren't overcharged.....you were situationally and regionally charged !! No harm in that. We move on.
