Going to 285s, any alignment issues?

I am going to be doing some work to the truck soon, new ball joints, brakes, shocks and then finally tires. I want to get 285/70 17s on there, was wondering for those of you that have put this size on your truck, did you have any alignment issues? Did you need an alignment kit to obtain factory specs?

I have a 2003 FX4 super crew.

I don't believe that 285's should cause any issues. MIGHT have to run the torsion bar a bit higher. ?

If your going to do the upper ball joints then , yes, you'll probably need a kit to get everything realigned

I'm running 315-70-17s on my 4x4 and only had to trim the front lower fender about 1/4"

..I think my 01 Supercrew may have issues then...after seeing what you guys have on your trucks, I only have the stock 265/65/16 on mine and I put front mudflaps on and it rubs every time i make a hard left or right turn.....seems i may have some sag......

I'll most likely do upper and lower, hopefully someone knows for sure if a kit is needed. Looks like the 285 are a little less than an inch bigger so alignment might be possible with stock components.

That looks good! Really fills the wheel wells out nicely

Thanks... But I have to say I cant recommend it. I lost a lot of power going this tall.

Also, I thought the truck looked much better with the previous tires (33x12.50x17)
