East Houston truck inspection needed
This '87 is a total rats mess. Lines are held in places with those white zipties that have either fell off of what they were holding or are just loose on lines. Electrical is/was a nightmare I'm working through. I'm sure some the the clips holding those lines are long gone. Its just...Bleh.
Was wondering if someone who has either experience or some kind of expertise can look and tell me what goes where or how it should be. It looks like a lousy shade tree tried to play mechanic and guessed how cheap he could do it. The underside is the worst. And I mean bad. Doesn't help that either the old engine or this reman has leaked so bad for so long, my chassis is COATED in crap which makes it even harder to tell what goes where...
As for all the insulation in the engine bay, I'm ripping it out. Don't want it or need it. Unless there is some ungodly important reason its there, When I get the new cab, I'm ripping it off before I install it. Working on the fender wells next to remove it. Fiberglass just gets water and holds it. Not good when against a steel body.... Pictures are fine but this is going to require a physical inspection. Especially towards the engine bay. Had to jack this beast up and set her on jack stands for clearance.
