Weighed my truck last week and this week
CCLB 4x4 SRW 6.7 with less than 100lbs of stuff and me in it:
5020 front
3440 rear
8480 total (I know those numbers add up to 8460 but the scale at work is precise to 20lbs)
That is with a tilt up fabric tonneu, some tie-downs, and a couple chains.
7000 rear axle rating = rear axle payload available = 3560 lbs.
At 11,500 lb gvwr that is 3020 lbs available payload - less than the rear axle can take.
Interesting to see the numbers.
Also, interesting to note, the Leer 180 cap with the truck empty puts me around 9000lbs. That means the cap is around 500lbs, if not more. I didn't think it weighed that much!

The 3000 lb payload is causing me concern when looking at a 2017 (same payload). I thought I was getting a SRW-friendly 5th wheel with a rated dry pin of 1940#. With the options, I weighed it at 2200# empty. With the hitch, dog, and family of 5, we have another 1000# in the truck, leaving only 2000# for the pin. I suspect it will be 2400# when we are loaded for camping. 14k trailer with a light pink is too much for a Ford F350 SRW if you have a family of 5. (Under tire and axle ratings, but over gvwr/payload.)

That reminds me... I still don't have my winch mount made up. I have a Superwinch Talon 18SR waiting to get hooked up. Thing is, I need a custom mount inside the bumper with a heavy duty receiver as I need to move it from the front to back. The winch itself is over 200lbs I believe. Then at least 150 for steel for the mount. Adds up.

Won't work Scott - none of the manufactured ones are strong enough/high enough ratings that I've seen. My idea is to have a 2.5" receiver, also, not a 2". Mine would probably see more action off the rear hitch anyway - so I can pull myself out the way I went in

I have an Iron Cross front bumper on mine, I cut out the iron cross emblem below the winch mount and made a 2.5" receiver that bolts to the bottom of the mount, below the winch, it is very sturdy and comes out at the right height. If you don't have a permanently mounted winch, Iron Cross makes a bolt in 2" receiver that mounts in the winch opening, it would also easy to duplicate in a 2.5".
