Good Morning Wyoming, and all who visit!! Happy Sat # 3 !! Well, murphy's law happened again... in an enclosed section of the heater that I have just replaced the filter on, started leaking gas last night, so I have it all shut down, gas line shut off. The heater people just called back, and since I am a repeat customer, the owner is coming out this afternoon to fix the durn thing... YAAAA!

Well, after checking the furnace out, the guy showed me the firebox had been leaking for some time.. it had been emitting carbon monoxide throughout the house, which means my sensors arn't worth a crap, so, I am buying new sensors, and our service guy is ordering a whole brand-new heater.. he is also going to install the air conditioning coil below the new heater so when we are ready, we will only have to buy the compressor and a few things to have a nice forced heat and air cond. house! No more water cooler, which I had to stop using because of my lungs anyway. The new heater is less than half the size of ours and a billion times more efficient, we will have a much stronger fan, much quieter operation, and cheaper to run! This is costing me $4100.00, labor and all.

Good morning Wyoming! Lanny, I'm glad you got someone out to the house to look at that furnace! We had the same issue in our last house, our burners came apart, and were emitting carbon monoxide. But, the sensors picked it up, and I was able to get the kids out, and call the gas company.

Yeah, we all have read the horror stories of entire families found dead because their heater broke and poisoned them, that really pi$$#@ me off when the sensors didn't even squawk!
