I need to hoe out the back seat in mine and make a run for the dump. I have not cleaned it out in a couple of years and it was on my list to do this past spring, but something came up that kept me away from it...lol.
I was cleared by my orthopedic doctor to drive again, so I need to make room so that I can stick my walker in the back seat. I have been having my wife drive me around the last few days while I have been getting use to walking with my new shoes. I figure that tomorrow we will find a nice big empty parking lot so that I can "practice" driving and then work up to driving again once I feel comfortable and can safely get in and out of the truck. I am hoping to be done using the walker by the end of the month and maybe will use a cane for a bit until I feel comfortable with my balance and can get around with no aids.

That is great to hear.
I picked up my new shoes and inserts on Monday so I have been busy learning how to walk normal again... lol. Still have the itty bitty spot on my left foot to finish healing...but otherwise everything is going great. I was given the okay from my orthopedic doc to start driving again. The plan is for my wife to drive to a large parking lot so that I can "practice" seeing that it has been almost 6 months since I drove last and it will give me a chance to see how everything feels in a controlled environment instead of being on the road in case I have issues. I think that next week I will be driving myself back and forth to work, but time will tell.

It sure has been a long time coming and my main concern is my leg strength. I have noticed since getting my shoes, that I am now using some muscles that need to get stronger and am not sure how getting into the truck will be in comparison to my wife's Edge.

That's good news, Neil.
When you get through cleaning out your truck....come on down. The back of the 86 hasn't been cleaned out in years. Wonder what is buried back there.
